Kinerase Radiance Facial Peel

by Catherine February 11, 2010 07:15

I have been using Kinerase products for years and absolutely love them! I have recently began doing the Radiance Facial peels and it leaves my skin luminous after about the third application. I love getting peels at the medi spa, but they can get costly, so I do these in between. They are separate applicators for every use and you rub it over your face and neck and leave on. You're supposed to do this five days in a row, spacing the treatments a month apart. I do it five days in a row every two weeks, the point when the 'glow' starts to wear off. You get 15 applications for about $75. If you love the way your skin looks after a peel, this Kinerase product is totally worth it. Available at NewSkinOasis.com

Kinerase Restructure Firming Cream

by Catherine January 18, 2010 07:04

Kinerase_Restricture_Firming_CreamKinerase Restructure Firming cream is the latest and greatest from the amazing skin care company. I am a big fan of Kinerase and have used their skin care treatments for years, not only because they work, but also because they don't irritate my skin. I'm excited about this new firming cream, as I have been beginning to notice the skin around my jaws getting loose. The cream contains LOXL Stimulator, a plant extract, that targets elastin to lift and strengthen skins structure, as well as a mixture of peptides that reduce the look of wrinkles. The formula also contains a moisturizing ingredient so it shouldn't dry out your skin. The company claims visible results in four weeks, but I am always more interested in consumer reviews, and what I found backs up the company claim. Every single review I found gave it five out of five stars, yes, every single one.

Available at drugstore.com, $98.

Kinerase Extreme Lift Face and Eyes

by Catherine March 21, 2009 03:50

Kinerase Extreme Lift FaceKinerase has recently become my favorite skin care line, even over Skinceuticals, because of their new fabulous treatments, from their C6 Peptide to their new Extreme Lift Face and Eye. Kinerase Extreme Lift Face is a combination of advanced active ingredients that provides immediate and proven clinical results. I see immediate results as soon as I apply it. While Kinerase claims it has the same results as Botox, that may be a stretch. Results are completely reversible in a day, which means you need to use it every day to reap the benefits. Another bonus of this product is Extreme Lift Face also offers long-term benefits such as protecting skin cells from oxidative stress and boosting collagen production and a trace amount of Kinetin preps the skin for optimal absorption of any moisturizers.

The texture is similar to a light moisturizer, but it isn't in fact a moisturizer, so you will need to follow up with one. For best results, apply to face after cleansing, morning and evening, and before adding moisturizers or makeup.  I think this is a must have in your skincare arsenal. Available at NewSkinOasis, on sale $141.

Have you used this product? What did you think?

At Home Chemical Peels

by Catherine December 30, 2008 01:08

Chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. A peel is a non-invasive procedure designed to promote cell growth and produce smoother, clearer skin.

I like to give myself chemical peels at home. They aren't the strong ones, obviously, that require a doctors administration, but a mild peel in conjunction with a great anti-aging moisturizer delivers beautiful results. I can have a peel every day with a mild peel and it just looks even better by a weeks end. People with sensitive skin cannot tolerate a peel every day and can only do it once or twice a month. The key to keeping skin from getting to dry and burned is a good moisturizer and SPF. I use Kinerase Pro+Therapy Advanced Radiance Facial Peel and follow with Kinerase Pro+Therapy Ultra Rich Night Repair and during the day I use Kinerase Pro+Therapy Daily Defense Lotion with SPF30. The peels really make my skin look clear and radiant. I do them for a few days in a row every month or so and the results are the same as going to a dermatologist for a single stronger peel. Also there is a more affordable price and no red, scaly skin with a series of mild peels.

Kinerase Radiance Peel

Another good at home peel is the Skinceuticals gel peel. I have used this one before and really like it. (The reason I'm currently sticking with Kinerase is because their 'Ultra' regimen I am on is sooooo fantastic.) This gel peel is also mild and can be used as often as you like, but must be followed with a good moisturizer. Their B5 Hydrating Gel is really good.

SkinCeuticals Gel Peel

The process of applying an at-home chemical peel is quite simple. Though it is called a “peel,” you will not notice skin literally being “peeled” off. Rather, skin will be exfoliated with a sloughing action, and the dull, dead surface cells will dissolve, bringing new, healthy skin cells to the surface. The exfoliation process only takes 8-12 minutes and may burn a bit, depending on how sensitive your skin is. Always follow with a nice, rich moisturizer. The results will be glowing, radiant skin.

Do you know of any good at home peels? Leave a comment, I want to try it!

Kinerase HydraBoost Intensive Treatment

by Catherine December 20, 2008 07:55

Kinerase HydraBoost Intensive Treatment Kinerases' newest release is HydraBoost Intensive Treatment. I was walking around Sephora yesterday and the Kinerase rep was there and introduced me to this new, great product. I didn't buy it, because I am currently on the Kinerase Ultra regimen (which I love), but for those of you who like a really good moisturizer, this product may be your pick.

It is a potent mineral-infused gel that moisturizes your skin. Kinerase HydraBoost Intensive Treatment attracts water to dry skin cells with an exclusive "moisture magnet" and helps to keep hydration locked in. It penetrates deeply, binding moisture to the skin with 25% Hyaluronic Acid, a natural moisturizer with excellent water-binding capabilities. (Some of the best new moisturizing and anti aging treatments use Hyaluronic Acid because it's one of the most effective ingredients in skin care.)The result is skin that looks noticeably supple, replenished, and more youthful.

This advanced formula is good for all skin types—even oily skin, and according to reviews by people who have used the product, it is light in texture, not sticky and best of all, highly effective. This may be a great product to take on plane flights, when you need a good moisturizer without any other treatments.

Here are the active ingredients in this product:

-25% Hyaluronic Acid: Has absorption abilities and a large molecular structure allows the epidermis to achieve greater suppleness, proper elasticity, and turgor. Functions as a natural moisturizer with excellent water-binding capabilities.
-Lipomoist 2013: A highly moisturizing molecular film.
-Pentavitin/Saccharide Isomerate: Acts as a highly effective moisture regulator. Its capacity for long-lasting moisture binding and retention make it effective in dry air under low relative humidities. Helps prevent skin dryness in extreme conditions.
-Malachite Extract: A mineral source for stressed skin. It works to protect skin cells from oxidative damage. This ingredient gives the product a beautiful, natural blue hue.

Kinerase Skin Ritual Kit

by Catherine December 14, 2008 04:43

I was recently given the Kinerase Skin Ritual kit and decided to try it for a few months. I have been an avid Skinceuticals girl for more than three years, and I think they have some great products, but I have heard wonderful things about the Kinerase Ultra line. First, whats in the kit: Pro+Therapy Daily Defense Lotion with Kinetin and Zeatin + SPF30, Pro+Therapy C6 Peptide with Kinetin and Zeatin, and Pro+Therapy Ultra Rich Night Repair. For the morning application you cleanse your face, then wipe with toner (not necessary, but it better allows skin ph to absorb treatment), then apply Pro+Therapy Daily Defense Lotion with Kinetin and Zeatin + SPF30. In the evening you wash, tone, then apply Pro+Therapy C6 Peptide with Kinetin and Zeatin followed by Pro+Therapy Ultra Rich Night Repair.

Kinerases' newest product, Pro+Therapy C6 Peptide Intensive Treatment with kinetin AND zeatin is enhanced with zeatin for "mature" or severely photodamaged skin.  If you've been following the scientific advances Valeant Pharmaceuticals has made with zeatin you know the combination of kinetin and zeatin works in the dermis where collagen and elastin are produced to better help improve the appearance of wrinkles by stimulating new collagen growth. Also new is the key ingredient, Argireline, an advanced hexapeptide. It's the latest, greatest beauty breakthrough.

I have been using the three products for about a month now and, I kid you not, my skin looks fantastic. It looks plumper with greatly diminished fine lines and my complexion is more clear. I think the super rich moisturizer, as well as the C6 Peptide are the difference. While Skinceuticals B5 is a great moisturizer, it doesn't compare to the Pro Therapy Ultra Rich night repair. I'm definitely going to stick with these products.
